What skin concerns is the service suitable for?

derma2go’s teledermatology service is suitable for many skin concerns that can be assessed well digitally. It is particularly helpful in cases where a timely specialist assessment is needed and clear, meaningful photos of the affected skin areas are available.

These include, for example:

• Acne and spots

• Eczema or skin irritation

• Redness, rashes or itching

• Warts, moles or unusual skin changes

• Fungal infections of the skin or nails

As a referring organisation, you can record the relevant information together with your patient in a short medical questionnaire and upload photos of the affected skin areas. Dermatologists review the submitted information and provide a specialist assessment as well as recommendations for further treatment.

This allows you to receive qualified feedback for your patients quickly – without them necessarily needing an immediate in-person dermatology appointment in every case.

Important note: In acute emergencies, severe pain, serious infections, rapidly worsening symptoms or sudden, pronounced skin changes, an in-person medical assessment should be sought. In such cases, teledermatology does not replace immediate medical care on site.
